Hasay to chase after Pac 12 Championship on Saturday

Mission Prep graduate will look to begin her senior year with a bang on Saturday morning. The University of Oregon senior is one of the favorites to win the Pac 12 Conference Cross Country title.

The Pac 12 Championships are being held at the Robinson Golf Course in Santa Clarita.

The women's race is at 9:40 am with the men's race at 10:40 am.

Four of the nation's top six teams are in the race led by the third ranked Oregon women. Sranford is ranked 4th, Arizona is 5th and Washington is 6th. Defending Pac 12 champion Colorado is also ranked 21st, while UCLA is tabbed 24th.

Hasay won the title in 2010 as a sophomore and finished third in 2011. Oregon is likely the deepest team in this year's field. The Ducks last won a team title in 1995.

Fellow Mission Prep graduate Annie Mooney is a sophomore for UCLA.

Up next is the NCAA West Regional on November 9 in Seattle where spots in the NCAA Division I Championships will be up for grabs.

Hasay was the 2011 NCAA runner-up and won the NCAA West Regional title. The Arroyo Grande native is the most decorated runner in school history with 14 All-America awards combined between cross country and track and field.
