More than 500 farmworkers are expected to turn out at a street fair in Santa Maria Thursday afternoon to learn more about health care services available to them.
The third annual fair is being hosted by Community Health Centers of the Central Coast from 3 p.m.- 6 p.m. at 215 West Newlove Drive.
More than 20 local agencies will be on hand to provide information and education on issues like the Affordable Health Care Act.
CHC will also provide blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI, dental and chiropractic assessments.
Participating agencies include the Santa Maria Police Department, Santa Maria Parks and Recreation, Cal Fresh, The Food Bank, Health Linkages, Pacific Pride Foundation, Santa Barbara County Cancer Detection and Transitions Mental Health.
