Some of the world's largest global health organizations are teaming up to reduce and prevent preterm births.
Preterm birth is the leading cause of deaths among newborns.
Over 30 experts worked together to create a plan called Solution Pathway. It outlines an agenda to improve research, prevention programs, and infant care.
Experts also hope to invent ways of improving the survival rates of preterm infants in low and middle income countries.
