Santa Barbara County Firefighters say a helicopter pilot made a hard landing in a field on Sunday.
It happened just before 8:40 a.m. at a field on Main Street and Bonita School Road. That area is about halfway between Guadalupe and Santa Maria.
The helicopter was carrying fertilizer tanks and doing crop dusting when it struck power lines.
Firefighters say the fertilizer tanks were not damaged, and the pilot declined medical treatment.
Power was down in the area for a short period of time.
