The temperatures will be very high this weekend, and it's important to keep your pets cool too.
Steve Kragenbrink from Woods Humane Society says pet owners should keep shady places for animals to lay down outside. Pet owners should be careful on days that don't feel too hot.
"I see a lot of people opening their windows and leaving their dog in the car. Well your car can turn into an oven, your pets can suffer from hyperthermia very quickly. I always say if you can't take your pets with you, it's safer to leave them at home," said Steve Kragenbrink, Woods Humane Society.
If you plan on giving your animal a haircut, leave at least an inch of fur. It protects them from the sun, and maintains the oils in their coats.
