SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - A Southern California high school says one of its student leaders has died from drinking too much alcohol.
Aydin Salek, a student liaison to the South Pasadena School Board, died Saturday after drinking at a party in Altadena.
The South Pasadena High School Web site has posted an item saying "Aydin's death was presumed to be due to an alcohol overdose, not related to driving."
Salek would have turned 18 Monday. Details about his death aren't being made public by South Pasadena police or the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
