A storm system will sweep through California on Thursday and generate strong winds along the west coast.
These winds will generate a moderately large northwesterly swell at 10 to 12 second intervals which will bring high surf to the Central Coast.
Surf 8 to 12 feet with local sets to 15 feet. Surf highest on west to northwest facing beaches including Moonstone Beach, Morro Bay and Surf Beach.
Strong rip current and wave activity will make swimming dangerous. Sneaker waves can suddenly pull people into the ocean near the surf zone and rock jetties.
