A high surf advisory remains in effect for west and northwest facing beaches of Santa Barbara Central Coast and San Luis Obispo County.

Surf height will be around 10 to 11 feet.

Surf will peak through this evening then gradually subside through tonight and early Thursday morning.

Dangerous rip currents will affect beaches in the advisory area posing a threat to swimmers. High surf conditions can cause sneaker waves that suddenly inundate beaches and wash over jetties.
