Rising fuel costs means more than just pain at the pump. It's affecting everyone from farmers to manufacturers and shippers. If those costs continue, consumers could end up paying more at the grocery store.

The average price of a gallon of diesel fuel is $4.01 in San Luis Obispo County, nearly a dime above the state average. Santa Barbara County isn't much better at about $3.95 for a gallon of diesel.

Watch KSBY News tonight at 5 and 6 for details on how soaring prices could affect you.
