Caltrans says Highway 1 north of Gorda could reopen as early as the middle of this week, after a rockslide closed the scenic road over a week ago.

The rockslide closed the highway in both directions on January 22, near Limekiln State Park. Crews have been working to clean up the roadway, and are nearing completion, Caltrans says.
