Highway 1 south of Gorda reopened to limited traffic

Highway 1 near the town of Gorda has reopened to limited traffic Monday morning. It was shut down after Caltrans crews assessed the area was in high danger for slides. Travelers can expect up to two hour delays, as Caltrans flaggers work one-way traffic control from 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.

The road will close again overnight from 6:00p.m. to 7:00a.m.
