Both lanes of Highway 101 North near Buellton have reopened and two people are being treated for injuries after the California Highway Patrol says a wrong-way driver hit a car Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 2 p.m. near the Highway 246 offramp.
Officials say a woman driving a BMW entered the northbound side of Highway 101 and began driving southbound where she collided with another car, possibly side-swiping it. A semi-truck also received minor damage.
Both lanes of the highway were blocked for nearly an hour and traffic was diverted.
The drivers of both cars were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
