Highway 46 back open after collision in SLO County

Highway 46 is back open after a two vehicle collision temporarily closed it down in both directions.

The California Highway Patrol says a car carrier and a pick up truck collided around 10:00 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 46, just east of Highway 41. At least one person was trapped inside one of the vehicles. Fire crews had to help get that person out.

CHP had to reroute traffic through Highway 33 for about an hour. Highway 46 reopened around 11:05 p.m.
