This holiday season shoppers didn't hold back because of the economy.
That's according to the latest figures, released by Mastercard Advisors' Spendingpulse, which tracks all payment forms. The report says retail sales rose 3.6 percent from November 1 through December 24. Compare these numbers with a 2.3 percent drop a year ago.
