Home For the Holidays Morro Bay Street Fair

The Morro Bay Merchant Association held its twice-yearly street fair today. About 75 vendors sold art, crafts, and food at the Home for the Holidays Street Fair. Different organizations and public service groups also participated. The fair usually sees between 6,000 and 8,000 visitors. The Merchant Association puts on the event to promote business and shopping in Morro Bay. "The money that the merchant association raised helps promote business." Morro Bay Merchant Association President Jon "Woody" Wordsworth. "We do advertising to promote business in Morro Bay, to shop Morro Bay with the money that we make from these two street fairs a year." The fair always happens the first Sunday in August and the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
