Home schooled students could do better because of more sleep

Home schooled students may have an academic edge because they're getting more sleep.

A new study of more than 2,600 teens found home schooled students slept about 90 minutes more per night than those attending public or private schools. That means home schoolers are getting almost an entire nights extra sleep by the end of the week.

Researchers suggest high school students should be starting later because physical changes in their bodies make it harder to get to sleep and to wake up early.
