Hospital donates backpacks to kids in need

Some local children have new backpacks for the school year, thanks to a local hospital.

Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton donated backpacks filled with school supplies to 60 local kids.

The "Way Cool Back to School" program has been around for seven years and has helped a total of 450 students.

Hospital staff and the community provide the supplies.

The program works with the North County Women's Shelter to find families who need help getting ready for the school year.
