An upper level ridge is building back into The West and as it does so two things of note need to be watched in the forecast.
One: The return to 100+ heat inland, and it looks like it'll be with us until at least Tuesday of next week. Paso Robles is expected to top 96 degrees for the 13th straight day on Friday. The normal high is 93.
As for the coast temps will be in the 70s and lower 80s except for the beaches which will still be in the 60s.
The second feature of the ridge placement will be that monsoon moisture will sneak into the area again, mostly in the form of variable high clouds. In the Santa Barbara and Ventura county mountains some isolated storms are possible however I will leave it out for the rest of our area at this point.
The high clouds should interrupt the marine layer somewhat, so the forecast for the next few days would be termed partly cloudy.
Onshore winds pick up a bit for the coast on Saturday and Sunday (up to 25mph in the afternoon) to pull temps there down a bit but inland areas will likely be largely unchanged by the winds.
