Hounds come from behind to win, finish 7th at own tournament

A four run sixth inning helped Atascadero High baseball overcome a 5-1 deficit to beat Rim of the World 6-5 to claim seventh place at the Greyhounds' Easter Tournament on Wednesday.

The Hounds pounded out 10 hits, led by Nathaniel Javine's 3 hits and 2 each from Bryan Kirkpatrick and Ethan Hicks.

Corbin Meikle drove in 2 runs, while Kirkpatrick, Javine and Hicks each drove in one.

Sophomore Holden Nix earned the win with 5 innings. He allowed 10 hits, 5 earned runs and struck out 2. Junior Dylan White earned the save with 2 shutout innings.

Atascadero improved to 8-7-1 on the season. The Hounds return to action in almost two weeks against Righetti.
