Hounds outrun Tigers in league opener 68-53

The Atascadero High boys basketball team continues to put up victories after an 0-5 starts to the season. The Greyhounds opened Pac 7 League play with a 68-53 win at San Luis Obispo on Friday night.

The Hounds improved to 8-6 overall and 1-0 in league, while the Tigers fell to 1-1 in league action and 6-9 for the season.

Connor Kim led the Greyhounds with 12 points, while Jared Studemann and Robbie Berwick added 9 points apiece.

Carlson Schwoerer led the Tigers with 13 points. David Thoreson poured in 10 points, while Marley Stallings and Kwab Farkye finished with 9 apiece.

Atascadero has now won eight of its last nine games under first year head coach Matt Knudson.
