With hundreds of homeless families and individuals throughout Santa Barbara County, local housing authorities, non-profits, and community leaders are seeking solutions to end chronic homelessness.

The Good Samaritan Shelter is hosting a Housing Conference today at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriot in Buellton.

The conference aims to discuss existing resources amongst both service and housing providers to find ways of increasing the opportunities available for the homeless. The Housing Conference is part of a 10-year plan to end chronic homelessness.

KSBY's Ariel Wesler will have a full report tonight on KSBY News at 5 and 6.
