How to get a job at Vandenberg AFB

It's one of the largest employers on the Central Coast but landing a job at Vandenberg AFB takes quite a bit of work. As far as civilian employees, there are around 1,200 at the base. Vandenberg typically has about 300 new hires a year for civilian positions.
But those involved in the hiring process stress there's only one way to apply for a job. Brenda Nickles, VAFB HR Technician, said, "The only way you can get a job at Vandenberg Air Force Base for a permanent position, you have to go to the USA Jobs web site.
