Keith Datu, Case Bruton, Josh Wilson-Murry and Will Mehring produced big games on Wednesday night to lead their teams to league victories.
Wilson-Murry scored 24 points to lead the Paso Robles High boys basketball team to its first Pac 7 League win of the season with a 51-39 victory at San Luis Obispo on Wednesday.
The Bearcats improved to 1-3 in league and 5-11 for the season. The Tigers fell to 6-10 overall and 1-2 in Pac 7 play.
Senior Rudy Binkele added 10 points for the Bearcats. Kwab Farkye led San Luis Obispo with 12 points, while Carlson Schwoerer dropped 10.
Datu dropped 25 and Bruton scored 24 in the St. Joseph boys' 82-59 win over Pioneer Valley. The Knights were coming off a tough loss to rival Righetti. St. Joseph improved to 2-1 in Pac 7 action and 12-4 overall, while PV fell to 1-3 in league and 3-12 for the season.
The Templeton boys routed Morro Bay 70-34 for their first Los Padres League victory. The Eagles improved to 1-2 in league and 7-8 overall. Morro Bay, the defending league champions, fell to 2-2 in league and 7-10 overall. Mehring, a 6-5 junior, finished with 18 points, while Andy Garretson added 17 points. The Eagles recorded 19 assists on their 29 buckets.
