HS Girls Basketball Report: Hounds, Tigers score big road victories

The San Luis Obispo girls behind Jessica Judge and the Atascadero girls behind Mary Kate Evans and Maddie Leong both won key Pac 7 League basketball games on Wednesday night.
Judge, a junior, poured in a game-high 16 points to lead the Tigers to a 32-25 road win at Paso Robles. The Tigers improved to 2-1 in league and 8-8 overall. The Bearcats fell to 1-3 in league and 8-9 for the season. The Tigers held the Bearcats to just five points in the second half. Molly Donovan led Paso Robles with 12 points, while Jackie Caraveo added 8.
Leong, a sophomore guard, scored a team-high 12 points in the Greyhounds' 43-34 win over defending league champion Arroyo Grande. The Cal Poly bound Evans added 11 rebounds and 5 steals. Atascadero improved to 2-1 in league and 10-4 overall. The Eagles fell to 1-3 in PAc 7 play and 8-9.
