The Cabrillo High girls volleyball team upset previously undefeated Templeton on Tuesday night 3-1 in a Los Padres League match.
The Eagles, who fell to 10-1 in league, had already clinched at least a share of the program's first-ever LPL title. Templeton can win the outright title with a win in its league finale next Tuesday.
Cabrillo evened its league mark to 4-4 with the home victory of 25-18, 24-26, 25-22 and 25-23.
Nipomo swept Santa Maria on Tuesday 25-6, 25-7 and 25-10 to improve to 8-2 in league play. Sam Baker and Paige Waymire fired off 8 kills apiece. Taylor Nevitt led Nipomo with 12 kills and 7 aces. Sarah Stahl recorded 18 digs and Cristina Ozzimo dished out 27 assists for the Titans.
The Mission Prep girls knocked off Morro Bay 3-1 on Tuesday. Grace Ready led the Royals with 14 kills, 8 digs and 6 aces. Natalie Brescia added 8 kills, 3 aces and 20 assists for the now 6-8 Royals.
