Three Central Coast softball players earned All-CIF recognition from the Southern Section Coaches' Association on Tuesday.
Atascadero High's Jessie Hufstetler and Paso Robles High's Kellie Reynolds were named to the Division 3 Team. Nipomo High's Courtney Cuzick earned a spot on the Division 5 Team.
Hufstetler led the Greyhounds to a 25-4 season and outright PAC 7 League title. The San Jose State recruit hit .506 with a .596 on-base percentage and .928 slugging percentage. The PAC 7 MVP led the league with 7 home runs, while tallying 33 RBI and 23 runs scored. She also dominated in the circle posting a 20-4 record. She struck out 158 in 154 innings pitched with an 1.18 ERA.
Reynolds is headed to Stony Brook University. She hit .474 for the Bearcats her senior year. She scored 24 runs, drove in 14 and stole 17 bases. The Bearcats finished the season 13-11.
Cuzick was instrumental in the Titans' historic season. Nipomo finished 19-10 and earned the program's first-ever outright Los Padres League title and CIF semifinal berth. Cuzick hit .487 with 21 RBI and 3 home runs. She walked 24 times and posted a .602 on-base percentage. The junior also dominated as a pitcher. She struck out 305 hitters in 177 2/3 innings pitched. She allowed just 108 hits and finished the season with a 0.79 ERA.
