The windy conditions did not keep people in Shell Beach from celebrating Mother's Day outdoors.
The Damon Castillo Band entertained the crowd at Dinosaur Caves Park Sunday afternoon. Hundreds of people brought out the blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the "All About Mom " celebration, which featured live music, games for the kids and plenty of free family-friendly activities.
"My grandparents are here from Colorado and it's something they would really enjoy so we decided to come share Mother's Day with them," said Nicholle Renshaw, who lives in Nipomo.
"Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's out there and sometimes when it seems real rough, just know it'll go away and you'll have nice relaxing days like this when you get older," said Cindy Osgood, who lives in Orcutt.
Sunday's concert also marked the final performance in this year's Concert in the Park series, put on by the City of Pismo Beach.
