Central Coast residents and visitors gathered in Templeton Park Sunday to wine and dine at the tenth annual Pinot and Paella event.
The event was completely sold out.
Twenty Paso Robles pinot noir producers teamed up with 20 chefs to pair the wine with the traditional Spanish dish. Guests mingled with chefs and winemakers as they tasted the pairings from each vendor.
There was also live music and dancing with Latin guitar world fusion group, Incendio.
Organizers say there are over 400 different types of Paella
"Paella, with all of its variations is an ideal kind of pairing with pinot noir, which has soft tannins. The soft tannins of pino noir are able to match all the different flavors," said Mark Goldberg, an event organizer.
Proceeds from the event benefit local youth performing arts programs.
