Hundreds of children were digging through the sand in Pismo Beach Sunday afternoon as part of the Pismo Beach Clam Festival.
The three-day event offered a wine walk, surfing, and a clam chowder cook off, among other events.
During Sunday's dig, the children searched the beach for 82 hidden clams.
The clams were numbered and prizes were awarded.
The top prize was $100.
The event is put on by the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce.
