Dozens of Central Coast families took over Downtown San Luis Obispo on Sunday for the annual Walk for Autism.
"It's a fantastic day in Mission Plaza. We do a sort of stroll through Downtown- that's very symbolic- to show support for families who deal with autism," said Juli Miller, executive director of Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center.
The event starts with a fair, including games for the kids, and information for community members. It also provides an outlet for families living with Autism and other developmental disorders.
And adding to the special day, celebrity guest, Zach Efron, who signed autographs and offered some extra motivation to all the walkers.
The event benefits the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center. All the money raised goes toward resources and services for local families.
Organizers hoped to collect 45 thousand dollars.
