Both northbound lanes on Highway 101 by San Miguel were closed early this morning because of some cardboard. Actually, a whole trailer full of cardboard. At 5:30 a.m. a big rig pulling two trailers began fishtailing. The second trailer fell over, spilling its contents all over the road. A white Ford pickup struck the cardboard. No injuries were reported
Local traffic was detoured around the overturned trailer. Roy Griffith, a local commuter, told KSBY about his experience. "It was not too confusing," he said, "because both lanes were closed down so you could only take the exit. Actually, they did a really good job of letting us know about half a mile down the river that there was an accident. So the detour was well-done."
The road was reopened at about 8:00 a.m.
