A group of people charged in the murder of a Santa Maria man appeared in court Thursday, but their arraignment hearing was again postponed.
One of the original defendants, Carmen Cardenas, has already entered a plea in the case. The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office says she pleaded no contest back in August to being an accessory after the fact of murder. On September 5, she was sentenced to three years and four months in prison.
A total of eleven people were arrested following the murder of Anthony Ibarra, 28, of Santa Maria. His body was found in a U-Haul truck parked on an Orcutt street in March. Investigators say he was tortured and killed at a home in Santa Maria.
The remaining ten defendants will appear in court again on October 18.
