We sure felt the impact from an upper level ridge backing into the West. Inland air is very dry and now that the inversion is strong and near the coast no cooling is available for the valleys and as a result the highs already reached 100+ on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday actually look warmer based on the models as the ridge continues its westward expansion.
However at the coastal valleys and beaches the marine cooling is still there, though a small rise in temps is also expected there.
For Tuesday and Wednesday you can expect some morning clouds near the beaches and coastal valleys but afternoon clearing is expected. Highs in the 60s and 70s at the beaches with 70s and lower 80s at the coastal valleys and 100 to 106 inland.
Perhaps just slightly cooler Thursday and Friday but not dramatically.
