Another warm day is expected Thursday with the exception of the beach communities due to a low and pervasive marine cloud deck. Generally temperatures start a slow fall as the morning offshore push becomes weak and eventually turns strongly onshore by the time we enter the weekend.
Interior valleys will stay in the heat through the weekend before temperatures drop dramatically Monday where the coast will start feeling cooling as early as Friday.
Overnight: Patchy low clouds and dense fog along the beaches otherwise clear. Visibility one quarter mile or less at times. Lows in the 50s except low to mid 60s hills. Northwest winds around 15 mph in the evening.
Thursday: Sunny except for areas of low clouds and dense fog along the beaches. Visibility one quarter mile or less at times. Highs from the upper 50s to mid 60s at the beaches to 80s in much of the coastal plain and 100 well inland.
Thursday Night: Clear except for low clouds and fog near the beaches. Lows in the 50s except low to mid 60s hills. Northwest winds around 15 mph in the evening.
Friday: Sunny except for low clouds and fog along the beaches in the morning. Highs from the upper 50s to mid 60s at the beaches to the 70s and 80s in the coastal plain and still near 100 inland. Northwest winds around 15 mph in the afternoon.
Friday Night: Low clouds and fog spreading inland overnight otherwise clear. Lows in the 50s except low to mid 60s hills. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph in the evening.
