Investigators at Union Hotel say fire was intentional

The small fire sparked early Friday morning at the Union Hotel was set intentionally, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department.

The fire started around 2:20 a.m. at the hotel, located at 362 Bell Street in Los Alamos.

The owner of the hotel told KSBY News his security staff was able to put out the fire quickly before it could spread. Damage is estimated to be less than $1,000.
