Investigators identify motorcyclist killed in early-morning crash

Man killed in motorcycle crash in Paso Robles

The California Highway Patrol has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash in Paso Robles early Wednesday morning.

65-year-old Earle Leroy Lloyd of Paso Robles was on Linne Road approaching Priska Drive in heavy fog around 6 a.m. Investigators say Lloyd failed to negotiate a curve in the road and went off the roadway. Officers say he hit a wire and metal T-post fence, and was ejected from the motorcycle. Lloyd suffered fatal injuries from the crash.

Lloyd was wearing a DOT approved helmet.
