Investigators say Pleasant Valley Elementary School fire was electrical failure

CAL Fire said the fire that broke out at Pleasant Valley Elementary School Wednesday night was caused by an electrical failure on a halogen light on the side of the building.

CAL Fire responded to the fire at 8:30 p.m. That's at 7000 Ranchita Canyon Road.

Paso Robles City Fire assisted and helped contain the fire by 8:55 p.m. Damage is estimated at $5,000.

School will resume as scheduled on Thursday.
