Fire investigators are trying to figure out what sparked an early morning structure fire, near the La Purisima Mission.

Firefighters were called out to the 1800 block of Mission Gate Drive in Lompoc just before 4 a.m. Friday. Fire officials found an 8,000 foot building engulfed in flames. They say it is a combination office, barn, and home.

"Firefighters did a search of the building and found nobody inside. Apparently, some people in the area were notified by a passing motorist about the fire," said Capt. David Sadecki with Santa Barbara County Fire.

No injuries were reported.
