Saturday marked night three of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the star power is still going strong.
Actor James Franco walked the red carpet for adoring fans and our KSBY cameras. He received the Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for his role in 127 Hours. He says being an actor is a tough road to travel but he would not have it any other way.
"I guess I've been acting for a decade-and-a-half and when you start you're not an actor, you're like struggling you're trying to make it as an actor and then all of a sudden you realize oh, that's what I am, an actor, that's how people regard me," Franco said.
With his new award, Franco joins the ranks of actors like Colin Firth, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie and Kate Winslet, who have all taken home the Outstanding Performance honor.
The film festival runs through February 6. For more information visit ksby.com and click on Newslinks.
