Central Coast star Jordan Hasay was named a first-team All-American by the United State Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday.
The University of Oregon sophomore along with teammate Amber Purvis were the only two women in the nation named to first-team for three different events. They helped the Oregon women win their second-straight NCAA Indoor Track and Field national championship.
Hasay became just the fifth individual ever to win both the mile and 3,000 meters at the same championships. She was the first to do so since 2006.
The Mission Prep graduate also broke Leann Warren's 29 year old school record by completing the mile in 4:33.01. Hasay also helped the Oregon women finished second in the distance medley relay that also set a school record.
Hasay has now been named an All-American eight times in her Oregon career headed in to the spring outdoor track season.
