Jordan Hasay set to compete for USA in Mexico on Friday

Central Coast star Jordan Hasay will represent the United States on Friday when she competes in the women's 1,500 meter run at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Under 23 Track and Field Championship in Guanajuato, Mexico on Friday.

The University of Oregon senior-to-be and Cory McGee from the University of Florida were selected to represent the USA in the 1,500.

Hasay is coming off a semifinal appearance at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

The bi-annual event will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as athletes aged 20-22 will be representing 32 nations from North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
