A former St. Joseph High School student convicted of four felony counts of unlawful sex with a minor will have to pay more than $36,000 in restitution.
19-year-old Shane Villalpando was sentenced to one year in county jail and five years of probation last month.
A Santa Barbara County Superior Court judge ruled Thursday that Villalpando pay $36,821 dollars in restitution.
A majority of that money will go to one of the victim's family.
It will cover the costs of moving her out of the area, lost wages and additional counseling expenses.
Villalpando is required to register as a sex offender for the duration of his probation
