Judge upholds eviction of Calif. oyster farm

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - A federal judge has denied a Northern California oyster farm's request to overturn its eviction from Point Reyes National Seashore, and to allow it to operate while its lawsuit is heard in court.
U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers on Monday denied owner Kevin Lunny's motion to void Interior Secretary Ken Salazar's order to evict the historic facility from the park, and also declined to allow the farm to continue operating while its legal case proceeds.
Lunny's lawsuit is a last-ditch effort by the farm after Salazar on Nov. 29 decided to let its 40-year lease expired.
Salazar said the land should be returned to wilderness status.
The Interior Department has given the farm until March 15 to remove all of its property from the park.
