We'll have a seasonal day today, with lots of low clouds and fog this morning and while the inland areas will clear out and warm up, the coastal highs won't climb much more than about 10 degrees as they stretch to their highs for the day. Our highs will be 1-5 degrees cooler than what we saw just yesterday, but we expect winds to be less of a factor, so it may feel slightly warmer.
The low pressure trough will keep some beach areas completely socked-in all day. Morro and Avila Bay's for instance may not see any sun and top out in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Inland-Paso Robles, Cuyama, Shandon, and other spots will climb into the mid and upper 80s. California Valley may heat into the low 90s.
The real warm-up comes this weekend when high pressure builds... boosting our highs into the upper 90s inland.
Here's a look at today's high temperatures around the Central Coast:
Paso Robles-84
Atascadero-81
Morro Bay-59
San Luis Obispo-68
Pismo Beach-59
Nipomo-66
Santa Maria-64
Guadalupe-63
Los Alamos-70
Solvang-72
Vandenberg-62
Goleta-67
Santa Barbara-67
