A San Luis Obispo County jury found Kelsey Morasci guilty of second degree murder with an enhancement of using a deadly weapon. It took jurors nearly two days of deliberation to reach their verdict.

Morasci is set to be sentenced on Friday, May 28. She is facing 16 years to life in prison.

The 29 year old was charged with killing her ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend Everett Quaid last August in Atascadero. The prosecution said jealousy was the clear motive. But the defense maintained it was self defense.
