Santa Maria police say one juvenile is behind bars and another is in the hospital after a gang-related stabbing in the city.
Officers were called out just before 6:30 p.m. Friday to the 500 block of South McClelland. They say that's where a large fight took place. One of the juveniles was stabbed. He was taken to Marian Medical Center for treatment.
Officers later learned the fight was gang-related and say the victim also assaulted the suspect with a weapon. They say both will face assault charges, along with gang enhancement charges.
