SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - California health officials have reported the first flu-related death of the influenza season.
Authorities on Thursday announced the death of a Kern County man who was in his late 30s. No other details were provided.
Overall flu activity in the state remains low and officials say the season generally peaks between January and March.
They're urging everyone to be vaccinated.
