Earlier today Lopez, 48, was reported missing. She had talked to family at 9:30am and a search was underway at 10:30am. Her family was reported to be concerned about her welfare in a press release from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's department earlier today.
Deputies responded to her home and began looking for Lopez with two K-9 units and a Santa Barbara County Air Support Unit helicopter.
At this time there are no details about her return or what prompted the search are available. Lopez is the long-time anchor at KEYT-TV where she started her job as an intern in the 1980s.
