For the first time this season the St. Joseph High football team has cracked the top ten in the CIF-Southern Section coaches poll.
Monday, the Knights climbed into the top ten of the Western Division at #8. The Knights are off to a 4-1 start and host 4-1 Arroyo Grande this Friday. The Eagles climbed one spot to #4 this week. Atascadero dropped out of the top ten this week after losing at Arroyo Grande 41-27.
Mission Prep remained #1 in the Northeast Division. The Royals are off to a 6-0 start and have a bye week.
Coming off its bye week, Lompoc football remains #1 in the Western Division. The Braves have won 25 in a row and own the longest active winning streak in California. 5-1 Santa Barbara is ranked 9th this week, while 4-2 Dos Pueblos is tabbed 10th. 5-1 Templeton sits just outside the top 10 this week and is listed among other teams receiving votes.
In the 8 man ranks, undefeated Coast Union is ranked 7th in Division 1. Cuyama Valley is ranked 4th and Valley Christian is 7th in Division 2.
