The St. Joseph boys basketball teams scores an opportunity to avenge its last two CIF quarterfinal losses on Tuesday. The Knights host sophomore sensation Aaron Holiday and Campbell Hall in a Division 4A quarterfinal game at 7pm.

The Vikings beat the Knights last year in North Hollywood 73-62 behind 28 points from the 6-0 guard Holiday and 14 from Kahlil Rice-Simplis. Campbell Hall also beat the Knights in the quarterfinals in 2008.

"Last year when we lost to Campbell Hall that's the worst feeling in the world. So we all remember that and we just don't want to let that happen again so we'll use that as fuel and we just want to make a run," said St. Joseph senior star Case Bruton, who's averaging 21 points per game and 17 points in the playoffs.

St. Joseph enters 21-7 and the #3 seed in the division. Campbell Hall is 16-11 and seeded #7. The Knights won their opener at home 67-46 over Calvary Chapel behind 21 points from Parham and 18 from Bruton. Both Bruton and Parham scored 16 points in St. Joseph's 70-30 second round win at Ontario Christian last Friday.

The Knights are excited to play on their home court Tuesday. "It's a big advantage having our home crowd with us. It'll be a big game and hopefully we can come out on top and make it to the semis," said Parham, who's averaging 11 points and almost 7 rebounds per game this season.

St. Joseph has not advanced to the CIF semifinals since winning the CIF Division 4-AA title in 2004 under Ed Torres.

Campbell Hall played in Mission Prep's Christmas Classic back in December. The Vikings beat Righetti 78-74 behind 41 points from Holiday, who is the younger brother of NBA star Jrue Holiday. The Vikings also beat Atascadero 82-73 thanks to 38 points from the sophomore. St. Joseph split its season series with the Greyhounds and Righetti during Pac 7 League play.
